Description
In school while the boys were drawing cars and airplanes, I was drawing silhouettes of girls with curly hair and long eyelashes. In college I took a few courses in art but mostly had to work on “stuff that would qualify me to make a living.” Then came a job, marriage and kids. There was no time for drawing or painting. In 2009 I retired from the job and started looking for ways to keep busy. At Taylor Senior Citizen's Center a group of ladies meet every Thursday for fellowship and painting. I joined the group and a new passion was sparked. I started in acrylics first but when I joined Coleen Guy's class at the Dothan Wiregrass Art League I began to paint with oils. Very quickly oils became my medium of choice. My journey into creativity has been a joy which I hope to continue for the duration of my life.Create your portfolio now!
